Marcia Bakshi, Facilitator
Meetings are held September through June on Friday mornings, with coffee and conversation starting at 9:30 a.m. The book discussion runs from 10-11:30 a.m. New members are always welcome to join this multi-generational group.
The book group has a long history at St. Elizabeth’s Church, and over the years its members have included young women, women in mid-life, and some whose advancing years have granted them a perspective the rest of us can only hope to attain. Some women join the group when they have young children at home and crave a morning of adult conversation, some women are between jobs, some are retired, and some have jobs with enough flexibility to allow them a couple of hours on Friday mornings to participate in a book discussion group. All are welcome.
Friday Book Group has started a new session, held in the Saunders Room at 9:30 a.m. The book selection for the early part of the winter is Becoming Wise: An Inquiry into the Mystery and Art of Living by Krista Tippett. Books are available in the Church Office. Please come for coffee at 9:30 a.m. and book discussion from 10-11:15 a.m. Click here to open the reading schedule.
