Meetings are held September through June on Friday mornings, with coffee and conversation starting at 9:30 a.m. The book discussion runs from 10-11:30 a.m. New members are always welcome to join this multi-generational group.

  • From July 9 through August 27 the light version will start by reading Sidney Chamber and the Shadow of Death by James Runcie. Each chapter is a complete mystery in itself. Books are readily available at the public library so feel free to pick up a copy and attend any single meeting you wish. The July dates will cover chapters 1 through 4. We may then choose to spend August with something else, but it will be a book readily available and each meeting will be self-contained. Any questions? Contact Diane Alimena. (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.)

The book group has a long history at St. Elizabeth’s Church, and over the years its members have included young women, women in mid-life, and some whose advancing years have granted them a perspective the rest of us can only hope to attain.   Some women join the group when they have young children at home and crave a morning of adult conversation, some women are between jobs, some are retired, and some have jobs with enough flexibility to allow them a couple of hours on Friday mornings to participate in a book discussion group. All are welcome.
